A.D. May 2011

What’s been going on with the upstarts at Jericho Projects? Two conventions down this year and two more are booked! We made our first appearance with Ms Johnni in Tennessee at Connooga. This convention was fun as I had the honor of serving on a panel with Dan Jolley (Firestorm) and Jennie Breeden (The Devil’s Panties). The topic was the future of comics and how we stay relevant in an age becoming more and more digital. Our chat went over our allotted time as everyone got truly engrossed on our topic.

The next stop was in March in a place that I know well, Megacon, in Orlando, Fl. Here we got to meet with some previous fans as well as make some new ones. And somewhere in that mix, I had some nice chats with Jennie Breeden (again!), along with Javier Lugo (cover artist for Ms. Johnni, Issue one) and Brian Pulido (Lady Death and inspiration for me). Issue two, our first venture into full color books, is receiving a nice reception, but I’m always looking to get better. We did get a favorable review on issue two from Aint it Cool news here. And for the inquiring minds, yep, Issue three IS officially in production.

And check out the stunning Ms. Johnni commission piece done by Brazilian artist, Marcel Zero. We’ve been Facebook friends for a couple of years and this was the first time that we got to work together. This reduced size graphic does NOT do this piece justice. If you ask me, this guy just MIGHT have a career as an artist…;)

On the horizon, we have Philadelphia in our sites! ECBACC coming up in May and this show is one that we’ve heard so much about and we managed to snag a table there. Along with that, Onyxcon is also on the agenda in August. The hometown folks of Atlanta were so good to us last year and we look forward to seeing you again!

A.D. December 2010

Yes, it’s been a looooong time since we’ve had an update here. Trust and believe that we have NOT been idle. If there’s one thing that the past year has taught me is that I have one INCREDIBLE crew of people working with me! Thanks so much to Sherrie, Donté, Rebecca and Geoff. You guys are so dedicated, talented and simply unbelievable….

We went to Onyxcon back in August and had one amazing time! It was a one day event that had enough activity for two days. I about lost my voice talking to so many folks there and having my first show for Ms. Johnni in my hometown was such a welcome change of pace. Granted, I love going to various parts of the southeast and making ourselves known but there’s nothing like being in my own backyard.

Speaking of my own backyard, we just did another show here in the ATL, the first annual Wizard World Atlanta! For this show, Ms. Johnni herself showed up live! Ms. Johnni, aka my friend and fellow actor, Karli G. Brooks, was a big hit and garnered quite a bit of attention…there’s something about the power of the spandex look on a pretty woman. I must also give a shout out to Lee Jiles of About Time Comics and Jeremy Funderburk, an artist on the rise, who were also there. Truly, two class acts.

Ms. Johnni was not the only one that showed up with me. A certain Australian also came and made her presence known. Our Graphic Artist, Creative Consultant and Colorist, Sherrie Hunt, came from down under to lend a hand with the work load. Sherrie worked tirelessly for this show with me and I would be lost without her. Check out the updated photo section for both of our shows.

Oh yeah, some of you may not yet know more of the latest. Did I mention that Issue 2 is done and it debuted at Wizard World? Thanks to all the people that have been asking about and yes, we have (finally) delivered. And as promised, it is in color and looking fabulous! It’s available via www.Indyplanet.com or just click on the link in the merchandise section.
And our next show will be at Con Nooga. Looking forward to making contact with the folks in the Volunteer state!

We are looking forward to 2011 and being even more unhinged, untapped and untold…;)

May Jah bless you all.

A.D. March 2010

“You like me, you really like me!”

Ok, I’m quoting Sally Field and not quoting her exactly right, but you get the gist.

Mega Con 2010 is now a rap and what an experience. Ms Johnni #1 is now officially out and debuted at the Orlando show. The reception is quite good as people are coming to me and saying that they like it and asking when the next issue is due. We are aiming to get started on it sometime in June after Rebecca is done with school.

We have also received a favorable review on the first issue from Patti Martinson over at sequentialtart.com. Take a look at what she had to say about the first issue here. Keep in mind that there are some spoilers in her review, so if you don’t want to know what happens, don’t read her review!

Let me take time to shout out to David Rivera, professional inker from Florida , who does some really good work, Top Cow among his clients. Check out his page on my links page and I am sure that you will agree. I also met talented Florida writer and artist, Shaun Ward. Shaun was a busy man who managed to land a job at Marvel comics while down there. Take some time out to check out his page that I have linked as well. Congrats Shaun!

The next stop is now Heroes Con in June and I’m looking forward to seeing those incredible folks in North Carolina again.

May Jah bless you all. Adrian “ Asia ” Petty Heroes Con

A.D. Dec. 2009

With the dawn of a new year on the horizon, Jericho Projects has undergone some challenges. Nothing worthwhile comes without growing pains and we are no exception. With that in mind, I am very pleased to announce that we have a new penciler, Rebecca Fedun. Rebecca is a student at the Savannah School of Art and Design and she will be lending her amazing talents to the first issue of Ms Johnni due in March 2010.

Along with Rebecca, the cover of the first issue is penciled by Javier Lugo, the artist of Frank Ng, a top selling book on www.comixpress.com. As an added bonus, Javier’s pencils are inked by non other than the legendary Joe Rubinstein! Joe has numerous works to his credit with DC, Marvel and Dark Horse including, The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, Superman and a book that you might have heard of called the Uncanny X-Men…;)

We at Jericho Projects are honored and thankful for everyone who is helping with our book. This year looks to be adventurous and exciting!

May Jah Bless you all,
